Indiana University, home to one of the largest university-owned supercomputers in the nation, is known for its innovative leadership in high-performance computing and networking. IU’s supercomputers support the university’s efforts in the Indiana Life Sciences Initiative, as well as research in areas such as astronomy, business, chemistry, economics, earth sciences, and physics. IU students have access to more than 130 student technology centers, with 5,200 computers, as well as technical support, computer consulting, educational programming, free or low-cost software, and Web-based teaching and learning tools.
